Metal 3D Printed Sample - increasing the saturation of the image

Lichroma was attached to a Nikon eclipse LV 100 microscope in reflection mode. The objective lens used was a 10X/0.25NA; no polarisers or DIC were used for imaging. A metal 3D printed sample was imaged initially using warm light illumination. A merigold illumination improved the sharpness and the image looks warmer. Trying a violet illumination gave even a better contrast, increased the saturation of the image, making possible a deeper analysis of the metal powder grains involved in the melting process.
